The superstar faced the music at a press conference before the Super Bowl on Thursday, admitting that she did lip-sync on Inauguration Day.
Beyonce hadn’t spoken publicly since it was said that she did not perform rendition of the national anthem live at Obama’s inauguration last week.
But before she answered questions, she belted out the national anthem (live of course) proving us wrong and ensuring us of her true talent and that she is, indeed, a remarkable singer that can still sing live.
As she defended herself, she admitted “I’m a perfectionist… I practice until my feet bleed… and I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra,” Beyonce fell to her defence.
“I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and the inauguration, and I wanted to make him and my country proud, so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. And I’m very proud of my performance,” the award winning singer added.
Beyonce later added, “Like I said I’ve had a 16-year career and all of the things that I’ve done has prepared me for this. So I’m ready. I love haters. No shame, no hate.”
